Idyoms has taken the latest research about the adolescent brain and worked with professional football coaches to develop a hands-on, practical workshop specifically for Academy Coaches, Analysts, Support Teams, Managers and Directors.

We help academies develop the environment and practices to help a young person to deal with knock-backs, understand their emotions, make decisions for themselves and be creative - improving performance on the pitch and well-being off it.

Collaborating in groups from different clubs,  academy teams will be guided through the emerging science and what it might mean for their coaching practices. Over a four month period, the coaches attend five, 90 minute video conferences sessions, where the group discusses different  topics 

 

Between each session they get an opportunity to trial what they have learnt and feedback onto a private, on-line platform moderated by the Idyoms team so they can continue to refine and develop their practices.

As well as these on-line, open courses, Idyoms also runs customised programmes, using the same collaborative learning approach, for an entire staff of a football academy (either on-line or in-person). To set up a time to talk to someone about this option, please email academies@idyoms.org.
